Lawyers often use a slew of meaningless language either to intentionally intimidate a litigant or because they see the language used all the time and think that is the only way to write a letter.

All Lawyers Vigorously Defend their Clients

One example is when a lawyer advises that their client intends to “vigorously” defend the lawsuit. Is there any other way to defend a lawsuit?  Does their firm and/or client usually put up their weakest defence to a lawsuit?

Don’t feel Threatened by Lawyer Lingo

There are a ton of these examples but you get the point. It’s important to not feel threatened by lawyers’ letters.
